Queer Identities in Different Times

Welcome to the start page of the project on queer remembrance "Queer Identities in Different Times".

This is a common work of Educat Collective, Uni:Code Collective, Kai* Brust, Prismatica, Jugendnetzwerk Lambda
Berlin-Brandenburg e.V. and other partners and supporters, who joined us on the way.

When we applied for funding to EVZ with this project, its original name was "Queer Identities in Darkest Times". However, with all the events happening in the world nowadays and with all the struggles that queer people still face all over the planet, we decided to not underestimate the current challenges and to not make them less dark than the histories that happened during National Socialism times.

We invite you to get acquainted with 4 sub-projects that we managed to implement:

Online exhibition "Spectrum of In_Justice" curated by Kai* Brust and telling about gender nonconforming lives under Nazi rule.

A historic walk through Berlin based on the biography of Käte Rogalli with a research provided by Kai* Brust and some of the content developed by the participants of the workshop held in Berlin.

Belarusian Quilt of Queer Pride created as a result of 3 offline workshops in Warsaw, Vilnius and Minsk organised by Prismatica, our project partner from Belarus.

A point and click adventure "What happened to Rosa?" implemented by Uni:code in close collaboration with Kai* Brust, Educat Collective and participants of the workshop held in Dresden.

Some of the content of the sub-projects might be triggering and emotionally exhausting, disturbing or re-traumatizing, such as, but not limited to, violence by police, state, authorities and the medical system, trans- and inter-hostility, antisemitism, etc. Please, proceed with care to yourself.
